Anxiety UK is a national registered charity formed in 1970 by someone living with agoraphobia for those affected by anxiety disorders. Today we are still a user-led organisation, run by people with experience of living with anxiety, stress or anxiety-based depression, supported by a high-profile medical advisory panel.

Anxiety Care UK is a Community Organisation based in Redbridge, East London, run by trained volunteer Recovery Support Workers. We provide a variety of services, helping people to recover from anxiety. We hope that through our Recovery Groups, Workshops, Email, Counselling, E-Counselling and Outreach Services, together with a range of literature, we can help you to understand anxiety and guide you towards recovery.

The three main aims of this site are to provide a starting point for people just finding out about SA and related issues, to enable them to access further information through this site and through external links; to act as a central hub for the community of those with social anxiety problems in the UK; and to attempt to raise the profile of SA problems and campaign for change, so that in future, people afflicted by them don"t have to suffer in silence as so many of us have done in the past.

Beating the Blues has been proven to help people suffering with mild and moderate depression to get better and stay better and is based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
It is a way of helping people to learn to cope with anxiety and depression and has been recommended for use in the NHS by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE). |
Headspace was officially launched in 2010 as an events company, but attendees wanted to take what they learned home with them. Andy, Rich, and a small team decided to make Andy’s techniques available online so more people could experience the benefits of meditation anytime, anywhere.
