(free crisis support)
Men's Minds Matter offers 'free' psychological crisis support to men living in Southwark (South East London) who are in crisis, experiencing suicidal thoughts, do not consider themselves to be mentally unwell and unlikely to access mental health services.
The service is for men who could potentially benefit from a private and confidential space to talk with someone but are maybe hesitant or unsure. We hope to provide a good therapy experience that supports people in finding an acceptable resolution to their difficulties.
We do not charge for our service but do accept donations to help keep Men's Minds Matter up and running. This is only if people are able to make them and there is no obligation to do so.
To qualify you need to be:
Our support helps people to manage in times of crisis and is focused on helping people stay safe if they are feeling suicidal. If you do not meet this above criteria you unlikely to benefit from our service.
Please note that we are not an alternative to NHS crisis services. We always encourage you to make use of these services where it is indicated and as part of managing current and future crises.
Our services are based in Southwark which is why we are focusing on this area first. We hope to have our crisis support model available online at some point in the near future available to everyone.
