Tell someone you trust
Confide in a friend, family member, or colleague you feel comfortable with. Letting someone know can create safety and reduce isolation.
CALM helpline
Call 0800 58 58 58. Open 5pm–midnight every day, the helpline provides guidance and advice for anyone struggling with suicidal thoughts.
Contact your GP
If it’s not an immediate emergency but you need support, your GP can guide you to specialist services and help you access ongoing care.
NHS crisis services
Crisis Resolution Home Treatment teams provide rapid responses to people who are suicidal. These can be accessed via your GP or A&E.
Samaritans
Call 116 123. They offer 24-hour emotional support and listening. They do not provide advice, but having someone listen can make a difference.
