Prescription Books
If you’re struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or grief, your GP or mental health practitioner may include a book prescription as part of your care plan. These books provide practical, evidence-informed strategies to help you manage your mental health.
How it works
You don’t need to be a library member to access prescription books. Simply take your prescription to your local library, where a librarian can help you borrow the recommended book and register you for free if needed. All books have been recommended by clinicians and individuals with lived experience who found them helpful.
